Revitalize Your Look

Eyelid surgery in Long Island with Dr. Sean Alemi can treat the look of sagging eyelids, puffiness, and under-eye bags caused by aging or genetics. The procedure can be performed on the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both, depending on the individual. By tightening the skin and muscles around the eyes, blepharoplasty rejuvenates the entire eye area, leaving you looking more youthful, revitalized, and well-rested.

What is the Blepharoplasty Procedure?

During the procedure, Dr. Sean Alemi carefully removes excess skin, tightens the surrounding muscles, and repositions or removes fat to create a youthful, refreshed look. This outpatient procedure typically takes one to two hours and can be performed with either local anesthetic or intravenous sedation. Dr. Alemi’s meticulous technique and attention to detail lead to minimal scarring and a very subtle, natural-looking result—never leaving that unnatural, wide-eyed look you may have seen in others. The best plastic surgery doesn’t look like surgery—it looks like you—refreshed, rested, and healthy.

How long do the results of eyelid surgery last?

Results from eyelid surgery can last up to 10 years or more, depending on factors such as skin type, aging, and lifestyle. While the surgery cannot stop aging, it can significantly slow down the visible signs around the eyes.

Will there be noticeable scars?

Dr. Alemi’s advanced techniques place incisions in the eyelids’ natural creases, ensuring that scars are barely visible and fade over time.

Can eyelid surgery improve my vision?

For some patients with drooping upper eyelids, blepharoplasty can improve peripheral vision by removing the excess skin obstructing the line of sight.

How soon can I wear makeup after surgery?

Patients can typically begin wearing makeup around the eyes 10-14 days after surgery, once healing has progressed, and incisions have fully closed.
