A Precision Procedure—What to Expect

On the day of the procedure, Dr. Alemi will precisely measure the height of your lips and advise you of the expected outcome so you can get a feel for how your results will look. Dr. Alemi’s precision surgical approach to a lip lift involves an incision placed at the base of the nose, discreetly hidden within the natural creases.

Through this incision, excess tissue is removed from the area between the nose and upper lip. This allows the upper lip to be elevated vertically, resulting in a more pronounced lip border, increased visibility of the red inner lip, and a shorter distance from the nose to the upper lip. The procedure can be performed under local anesthesia, or with light sedation if preferred.

A Restful Recovery

Post-surgery, take the time to rest and heal. Prepare for a fast, uneventful recovery. During the first few days, it’s normal to experience some swelling, bruising, and minor discomfort. Sutures will be removed after four to five days. Most patients can expect to return to their normal activities within two weeks. However, strenuous activities and excessive sun exposure must be avoided during the initial healing period for optimal results.
